DAF was founded in 1928 in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, by Hub van Doorne, and has built trucks with its own diesel engines since 1957. Since the 1990s it has been part of PACCAR, the group that also owns Kenworth and Peterbilt. DAF is especially popular in Europe for its spacious cabs and efficient PACCAR MX engines, and it also serves markets in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America.

DAF XF, XG and XG+. The long-haul range. The XF has been DAF's best-known long-distance model for decades, praised for its roomy cab, and the newer XG and XG+ cabs extend that with more interior space and improved aerodynamics.
DAF CF. A flexible model for regional, national, and international distribution, as well as construction applications.
DAF LF. The smallest of the traditional range, designed for city distribution and medium-distance delivery with a tight turning circle.
DAF XD and XB. Newer distribution and urban models that extend the range for delivery, construction, and municipal work.
DAF filters differ between older generations (such as CF75, CF85, and XF95) and the PACCAR MX-13 engine used in the XF106 and later. The references below are commonly shown in aftermarket cross-reference catalogs.

DAF's range spans several engine generations and emission standards, so the same model name can use different filters. Always confirm by chassis number and engine code.
Fuel filters. MX-13 fuel systems rely on clean fuel. Replace fuel filters on schedule, drain water regularly, and prime the system after every change. In cold regions, replace the filter before winter and use fuel suited to the climate.
Oil filters. Replace the oil filter with every oil change, using a filter with the correct bypass valve and media specification. Poor-quality filters can shorten the life of turbochargers and bearings.
Air filters. Check the restriction indicator and inspect seals at every service. DAF trucks working on construction sites or dusty roads may need much more frequent air filter replacement.
Cabin filters and air dryer. Replace the cabin filter at least once a year and the air dryer cartridge on schedule to protect the air brake system from moisture.
Service intervals depend on the manufacturer's maintenance plan, engine variant, oil specification, and duty cycle. Always follow the plan for your specific vehicle.
What oil filter does a DAF XF106 use? PACCAR MX-13 engines are commonly associated with oil filter numbers such as 2047411 and 2234788, but variants exist, so verify by engine code and build date.
Is DAF part of PACCAR? Yes. DAF became part of PACCAR in the 1990s, which is why DAF's MX engines and some filter references are shared with PACCAR engines used in North American trucks.
Can I use the same filters on DAF and other brands? Sometimes, because some filters are shared across brands (for example certain air filter elements), but this must be confirmed by dimensions and specification, not assumed.
For fleets and distributors sourcing replacement filters for DAF trucks, ADAOER Filter manufactures heavy-duty fuel, oil, air, cabin, and hydraulic filters for trucks, buses, and construction machinery, and supports OEM/ODM development for custom specifications. Cross-reference lists are available on request.
Brand names and part numbers are used for identification and compatibility reference only. Volvo, Scania, and DAF are trademarks of their respective owners. Part numbers vary by chassis, engine variant, emission level, and production date, so always verify the correct filter against your vehicle's VIN or chassis number and engine code before ordering.
